Pure Vermont Maple Syrup

Our 100% pure maple syrup is produced on our small family farm, by Paul himself, in picturesque northern Vermont.  We take great pride to sustainably harvest the maple sap from wild grown trees and boil it down with time honored traditions.  Each small batch is personally tasted, graded and tested to ensure purity and quality, to provide you with the unique flavor that only maple syrup has.
Maple syrup is great on French toast, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt, ice cream or in your coffee. Use it as an ingredient in sauces, dressings, or desserts.

Our pure maple syrup is the perfect gift for Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries, or just because.  It is a great option for the person who has everything or is hard to buy for.

Maple Syrup Facts

- It takes 40-50 gallons of maple sap to make 1 gallon of syrup - this means we remove 39-49 gallons of water.
- Maple syrup is all Grade A.  It is available in 4 different classifications based on color and flavor intensities.
- Maple syrup starts as maple sap directly from the maple tree.  Maple sap looks and acts like water.
- Maple syrup gets its color from the caramelization of maple sugar during the boiling process.
Vermont Maple Syrup Grades

Vermont changed its grading system for maple syrup on January 1, 2014.  This new grading system provides you, the consumer, with better descriptors for each classification offered.  It also allows us to offer you an even darker more flavorful pure maple syrup.  Rest assured, all of our pure maple syrup is produced to meet the same quality standards we demand which also meet all of Vermont's strict maple laws.

The 4 classifications of Grade A Maple syrup:

Golden Color with Delicate Taste - Grade A:

Light, golden color with a mild delicate taste.  Excellent as a table syrup or over ice cream or yogurt.  This is the grade we use to make our delicious pure maple sugar candy.
Amber Color with Rich Taste - Grade A:
A light amber color and full-bodied flavor.  A highly chosen syrup for it's classic maple syrup flavor.  One of our most popular grades for using on French toast or waffles.
Dark Color with Robust Taste - Grade A:
A dark amber hue with a more pronounced maple flavor.  This classification would have been known as Grade B before the law change. This is also a highly popular grade for waffles and pancakes, but is more versatile because it has more maple flavor that would come through in some recipes.

Very Dark Color with Strong Taste - Grade A:

Nearly black color with a very strong maple flavor characteristic.  If you are going to cook with syrup, this is the flavor for you.  This strong flavor will carry though in your favorite dish.  Not previously available for retail sale, if you enjoy BOLD maple flavor, this is the grade for you!
