As a Back of House Assistant, you will be an integral part of our kitchen operations, responsible for supporting the smooth running of our back of house activities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in preparing and organizing ingredients, making and decorating specialty desserts, packaging our award-winning maple candy, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. You will also play a key role in supporting the overall functioning of the business.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, possesses excellent organizational skills, and can work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creemee mix preparation and organization
- Make, decorate, and assist with the production of our specialty creemee pies, cakes, and other frozen desserts
- Package and complete wholesale orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Receive and store deliveries in an organized manner
- Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely order turnaround
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience is preferred, however not required
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred, but not required
- Must work 20+ hours/week, full-time available
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs at a time
This is a year-round position with hourly pay commensurate with experience. This Back of House Assistant must work 20+ hours per week with the possibility of a full-time position for the right candidate.
